Tory Adkisson was born in West Covina, California, and grew up in the desert between the San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains. He holds degrees from UCLA and The Ohio State, and has received fellowships from the California Arts Council, the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, and the Sewanee Writers' Conference. Poems have appeared or are forthcoming in numerous literary journals, including Boston Review, Colorado Review, Third Coast, Linebreak, and 32 Poems. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
